During this period of isolation, I am excited to share my first nonfiction piece, "Mustache Girl!" I drew on some memories of being bullied but made sure to squeeze some humor into it, so it isn't all doom and gloom. I have really enjoyed working with the editors of the nonprofit digital journal Talking Writing. This has been the closest I've worked with editors, and I've really appreciated each step of the process. As a teacher, it is refreshing to be on the other side of the desk again! It certainly made me miss my NAU workshop courses. The editors were all so insightful and easy to work with.
